Local Impact
WHAT IS LOCAL IMPACT?
Through our local missions we see lives changed in the city of Pomona
With a belief that Kingdom values enrich lives and restores communities, we work with others in our city and valley in holistic outreach. Through our local missions we see lives changed in the city of Pomona and in the broader Inland Valley region with the message of God’s wonderful salvation.

Clothing Ministry
The Clothing Room, open every Tuesday morning from 9-11am, offers gently used clothing, shoes and linens. Donations may be dropped off during the week at our Administration Center.
Monthly Homeless Outreach
Every third Saturday, volunteers help feed and clothe homeless and vulnerable people of Pomona. Volunteers serve food, distribute clothes and hygiene items and offer prayer for our guests. Haircuts and shampooing are also available. After dinner in our gym, another volunteer team transports food to the Hope for Home Service Center where they feed a few hundred people staying at the shelter.
Food Distribution
In partnership with Hope Partners, the BETA Center distributes boxes of food to those in need, Monday through Thursday, 9am-3pm, at 209 W. Pearl St.(North Parking lot of our campus). Donations of canned and dry boxed foods may be dropped off at the Church Administration Building throughout the week. The first Saturday of every month, we serve with God’s Pantry at 1460 E. Holt, from 8am-noon providing food, clothes and prayer to those in need.
Farmer’s Market
For over thirty five years, the Pomona Valley Farmer’s Market has sold farm-fresh and organic produce to families. WIC and EBT programs are accepted. You will also find fresh baked breads, tamales, honeys and nuts, along with plants, herbs and flowers. The market is open 9am-1pm every Saturday at the corner of Pearl and Garey.
New Community Academy
New Community Academy is a private Christian high school in the heart of Pomona, California engaged in transforming the academic experience of students who don’t fit into the typical public school experience, making educational success more accessible and achievable. Help your student learn to love learning again!
Pomona Youth Club
At Purpose Church’s Pomona Youth Club, homework helper volunteers work with local PUSD students once or twice a week to encourage them in their academic endeavors while building lasting relationships with caring adults. Besides homework help, the children enjoy snacks, a Bible lesson and times to play board games and sports. Volunteers are always appreciated.
We would love to hear from you!
