We are excited to announce our fall plans and opportunities for you to connect, grow and serve at Purpose. Our fall announcements got more exciting this week! Before Pastor Glenn left for his Montana and Idaho preaching trip he gave an update about our worship center renovation plans and asked the whole church to pray for the city permit process. We are excited to report that God has answered our prayers and has opened the door for us to begin the renovations starting THIS WEEK! With this exciting news, we will have two weeks of Outdoor Celebration Services under the tents (August 29 & September 5) and then begin our renovation “Wilderness” services and sermon series on Sunday, September 12. Below you can find more detailed info. Please return to this page weekly as we will keep it updated with new information each week.

Baptism is a way for Christians to proclaim to everyone that they are followers of Jesus. We believe that baptism is essential for every believer who has repented of sin and confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior.

So what exactly is baptism? Baptism is a symbol of Jesus’ death, burial, resurrection and new life (Romans 6:4). It is a way of uniting ourselves with Jesus (Galatians 3:27). It is further an outward expression of an inner commitment (Ephesians 2:8-9). Baptisms at Purpose Church are done by total immersion in water, just as Jesus was baptized.

When considering baptism, it’s natural to have many questions. Why should I get baptized? How should I get baptized? What is the meaning of baptism? Who should get baptized? We want to answer these questions the best that we can as you go forward in this step of obedience.

As you begin to walk through this process, please know that we are here to help you each step of the way. Baptisms are held every 3 months, so if you are ready to be baptized, or would like to talk to someone about baptism, click below!
